AGE OF INFORMATION WORKSHOP - CALL FOR PAPERS

Call For Papers: The 4th Age of Information Workshop

The Age of Information (AoI) is a new performance metric for characterizing the freshness of information, which has been shown effective and powerful as an analysis and design tool in numerous applications, in particular in cyber- physical systems and/or Industrial Internet-of-Things. Recent research has shown that many well-known design principles (e.g., for providing high throughput and low latency) that have led to the success of traditional data networks need to be re-examined for enhancing information freshness in emerging real-time applications. This spurred new research formulations related to AoI in all layers of communication networks, and has already created an active research community around the topic.

Following the success of the first three workshops, the 4th Age of Information Workshop (AoI Workshop) will be held as an virtual workshop on May 10, 2021, in conjunction with IEEE INFOCOM 2021. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

 • Age of Information Analysis and Optimization
 • Age-based Source and Channel Coding
 • Age of Information and Information Theory
 • Real-time Signal Tracking and Estimation
 • Age of Channel State Information
 • Age of Information in Robotics and Control Systems
 • Age of Information and Security
